Robert Schmitt, co-founder of Cork Protocol, is a seasoned entrepreneur with a focus on sustainable finance and decentralized technology. Prior to Cork, he co-founded Toucan, a platform tokenizing carbon credits, and helped it scale to over $100M in real-world assets and $4B in trading volume. With extensive experience in Agrotech, carbon markets, and startups, Robert’s journey includes founding Vultus, a satellite and AI platform for farmers, and leading it to its IPO. Robert also balances his entrepreneurial pursuits with endurance sports, completing an Ironman and training for ultra-marathons.
